French Club

Membership in the Scott High School French Club is open to any student who is interested in the study of French language and culture. The club holds fundraisers such as working in the concession stand, selling French candy, selling homemade quiche, etc. The club sponsors registration for its members in the National French Test, the regional and state World Language Festival Showcase. It also helps to underwrite a spring field trip to a French restaurant in Cincinnati and to such destinations as French plays and the Cincinnati Art Museum. Other events include a Christmas fête, mardi gras fête, and National French Week festivities in November.

Scott High School’s French Club is an organization that is run by the students, even though it is sponsored by the French teacher. Committees with students from all grade levels consider the business of the club and make recommendations to the club members. The club as a whole then votes to make a decision for the group. Students have the opportunity to collaborate with students from all grades and all groups within the school, as well as to engage in leadership and decision-making.

The club meets during the school day, approximately once monthly, on announced dates. Committees meet after school from 2:40 - 3:40 on announced dates.

Dues are $5.00
